Benchmark Evaluations
A quality evaluation is the foundation of effective therapy. Our evaluations are comprehensive, unhurried, and take place in your home. We plan our assessment tasks carefully and consider outside records and reports from school, medical professionals, and other providers. For school-age children, written language tasks will be incorporated into our assessments. We may request video samples of your child at home to ensure that we capture the full picture. A meeting for report review will be held at our office in order to ensure a distraction-free discussion of results and recommendations.

Our Specialties
Language
Whether your child is a late talker, navigating the demands of academic language, or somewhere in between, we can help. A few of our most common intervention areas that create meaningful results include:
Vocabulary development
Explicit instruction in sentence and word structure
Story structure and narrative skills
Main idea, inference, and critical thinking
Social aspects of language
Pre-verbal foundations that support language, such as gesturing and joint attention
Language underlies everything — how your child learns, connects, and communicates, and we will meet your child exactly where they are.
Literacy
SLPs are uniquely positioned to address literacy-based challenges like dyslexia due to our extensive training in the linguistic foundation that reading requires, rather than teaching skills in isolation. We are rooted in the Science of Reading and target the following areas systematically and intensively:
Phonological and phonemic awareness — hearing and manipulating the sound structure of words
Letter-sound correspondence/decoding
Reading fluency and comprehension
Spelling patterns and orthographic knowledge
All levels of written expression
If reading or writing is a struggle, the answer isn’t to wait and see. We can diagnose the exact issue and ensure your child gets the support needed.
Neurodiversity
We celebrate neurodivergent children (and families!). Whether your child has autism, ADHD, another neurological difference, or you’re in the process of figuring it out, we can support your child’s communication growth.
Therapy built around what engages your child, not what's convenient for us
Responsive to your child’s sensory, attentional, and self-regulation needs
Meaningful, functional goals
Deep respect for neurodivergent identity and all communication modalities
Experience collaborating with OT, psychology, and school teams
These values aren't new to us. They have always been at the core of how we work. Your child is safe and accepted as they are are with us.
Speech Sound Disorders
For children with difficulties pronouncing specific sounds, patterns of errors, or residual issues after prior speech therapy, we use evidence-based strategies to improve clarity.
Articulation — the production of individual sounds, treated with auditory feedback, mirrors, tactile, and gestural cues
Phonology — the underlying patterns that govern how sounds work together, treated with research-based strategies like Cycles and Complexity for efficient growth
Comprehensive evaluations that include standardized testing, pattern analysis, stimulability probes and oral-motor exams
High-energy sessions focused on maximizing the number of practice opportunities for target sounds
Unintelligible speech can affect a child's social life and school participation. Research shows that untreated phonological disorders in young children elevate the risk for reading disabilities. Prompt, high-quality treatment is essential.
Stuttering
Stuttering comes with more misinformation than almost any other area we treat. We are here to educate and empower your family with:
Honest conversations about the factors specific to your child that suggest persistence versus recovery
Early intervention rooted in parent education to replace myths with actual research findings
Encouraging openness about stuttering with your child, with us, with anyone. You are allowed to call it stuttering!
Acceptance-based therapy for older children to reduce the psychological burden
Choice of treatment guided by your family's values — some families want a more direct approach, and we can honor that
Integrated treatment of co-occurring speech and language issues
Whatever your child's path looks like, we will walk it with you honestly, warmly, and without judgment.
Intellectual Disability
Children with ID (called cognitive impairment in schools) experience unique communication challenges that deserve a thoughtful approach. Whether your child's disability has a known medical cause or the origin is undetermined, our therapy is grounded in functional outcomes and meaningful participation in activities of daily life.
Treatment that factors in co-occurring conditions such as ASD, ADHD, and CP
Focus on functional and core vocabulary using multimodal communication
Strategic use of visual aids
Evidence-based repetition strategies that strengthen learning and build lasting skills
Family coaching to embed practice naturally into daily life
Warmth, reduced pressure, and genuine joy in every session
Every child deserves to be heard, understood, and fully included in their own life, and we will work with you toward this objective.
