Efficient Treatment
Research shows that students in language therapy are actively on task only half the time and that articulation students need around 75-100 trials per session for optimal growth but typically receive fewer than half that. Benchmark’s therapists set the standard for efficiency. In-Depth Evaluations
Our evaluations go further than a simple standard score. We integrate formal speech and language sample analysis as well as structured classroom observations and family interviews with your district’s preferred standardized tests. From there, we administer quick baseline data probes to ensure that our IEP goals are achievable. We proactively collaborate throughout the evaluation window with the other MET evaluators to ensure a team approach. Our final reports carefully consider students’ dialect, background, and unique challenges and strengths. The result is a defensible, compliance-conscious evaluation that reduces misidentification risk and delivers clear, accessible reports your teachers and families can actually use.

Virtual services cannot replicate what happens face to face — from quick, efficient screenings to hands-on prompting in articulation therapy and oral motor exams that have surfaced genuine medical findings, to the right breakdown of push-in and pull-out services that can only happen with an in-person provider, to supporting teachers in successfully following through with IEP accommodations. Being physically present means observing students in their learning environment, building real relationships with your staff, running groups the way they're meant to run, and catching carryover moments in the hallway that no teletherapy session can reach. I’m Corinne, the owner of Benchmark Speech & Language and an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist
Since 2012, I have worked in Michigan's public schools as a classroom teacher and SLP, giving me a firsthand understanding of what schools need from their service providers. My team brings hands-on experience in high leverage practices including Story Champs, the complexity approach to phonological treatment, core language, morphological intervention, and assistive technology. Additionally, we are experienced with the documentation and systems that keep IEP teams running smoothly. We genuinely love the schools and children we serve, and we show up with energy and enthusiasm every day.
